Ranchi University PhD Admission 2024-25: ​​ Ranchi University will soon open the registration window for PhD admission 2024-25. The last date to apply for admission will be 31 December 2024*. Candidates must ensure they fill out the form accurately with the required details. In general, the PhD course duration is 3 years and a student can complete it within a maximum period of 5 years. The registration fee is INR 300. Students can apply for admission at Ranchi University's official website @ranchiuniversity.ac.in

The basic eligibility criteria for a Ranchi University PhD degree is a student must hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in a particular subject with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. Admission to the Ranchi University PhD courses is based on the entrance test like  UGC NET/CSIR UGC NET.  The form will be rejected by the university if the wrong information is submitted by the candidates.

For the PhD programs offered by Ranchi University , the admission procedure will start soon for 2024-25 session admission form submission last date will be 31 December 2024 . Interested applicants can get admission at the university based on their scores of UGC NET/GATE/NET JRF and other relevant entrance exams. Ranchi University PhD Entrance Exam 2024 date is announced by the university at the official portal. 04 January 2024 is the entrance examination date. Students have to submit the online fee of INR 2000 to appear in the examination. Admission fee of INR 5000 for the general category and for the Reserved category INR 5000 as an admission fee and INR 200 form fee. 

To be eligible for Ranchi University's PhD programme, a student must have a bachelor's and master's degree in a specific subject from the recognized university. After meeting the basic eligibility, students can apply for admission at Ranchi University.

Ranchi University on behalf of the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (RINPAS) has released the applications in the prescribed format for admission to M. Phil in Clinical Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology for the academic year 2022-2024.

About RINPAS:

RINPAS is the second most popular institution after the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) located at Ranchi state of Jharkhand which is working in the field of Mental Health and Research. It is one of the RCI Recognized institutes for the M.Phil Clinical Psychology course.

RINPAS was established in a series of acts that dates back to 1795 A.D. when it was established as the Lunatic Asylum in Munghyr near Ganga River, and in continuation of that series of events the events continued and at last on 10th January 1998 the name of RMA was changed to its current status Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (RINPAS).

Details regarding the Admission 2022 are given below:

Name of the Course: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology

Eligibility: Diploma/M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology (2 years).

Number of the Seats: 04 (Four)

Duration of the course: 2 years

Name of the Course: M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology

Eligibility: M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology of a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate (as per RCI guidelines).

Number of the Seats: 12 (Twelve)

Stipend: ₹8,000/-

Application Fees:

For UR:  ₹1200/-

For ST/SC Candidates of Jharkhand:  ₹600/-

The application fee needs to be submitted in the form of a demand draft, and the original demand draft drawn in favor of the Registrar, Ranchi University, Ranchi Payable at Ranchi should be attached with the duly filled application form.

Application Procedure:

The candidates are required to print and fill out the application form in the correct manner and the duly filled form will be submitted at the Office of Controller of Examinations, Ranchi University, Ranchi. The application form should contain a self-attested photocopy of the candidate’s final year mark sheet (P.G. Course/ M.Phil. as applicable) and other relevant documents as well. A Demand draft of the application fees should be attached with the application form.

RINPAS Ph.D. and M.Phil Clinical Psychology Admission 2022 – How to Apply

Entrance Test Pattern:

The question paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice type questions based on the prescribed syllabus at PG level of University at the National level. 2 (two) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The college in infrastructure is good. And very good with facilities like library hostel etc. Canteen is also there for the students. College infrastructure is well prepared to facilitate studies. Facilities are good.

Institute of legal studies is the best law college.

Institute of legal studies have a great infrastructure with the best facilities provided The infrastructure includes moot court, library, auditorium, spacious classes and many more necessary departments.

Not worth it!

The campus is located in a busy part of Ranchi. The campus is very large and has basic amenities, but the overall infrastructure is not good, as the classrooms are not modernized. There is a lack of care. Labs and Libraries are outdated.

Yes, in most of the colleges the students go for internship programs in various other colleges and companies if they are selected for their internship program.

The college generally provides a letter of recommendation and a approval letter to confirm that the student from his college is being allowed for educational internship at any other college or company once the candidate gets selected.

4.   Faculty position :

Admission Eligibility: B.A/ B.A (Hons). Duration 2 years (Four semesters) with an exam at the end of each semester.

Research Degree: Doctorate Degrees: The University awards PhD degree . There is also a provision of awarding DLitt  Degree.
