Description
Probability is developed in this 6 lesson unit by using sets, their intersections, and their unions. Two way frequency charts are extensively used to introduce the concept of conditional probabilities. The multiplication of probabilities is used to find the probability of complex events and the product test for independence is developed and applied.

Waiswa will need UGX 55,000 for the extra fuel to cover the unusual distance.
Step 1: Calculate the distance between Busaana and Bukamba: 30 km. Step 2: Calculate the distance between Bukamba and Kalagala: 20 km. Step 3: Calculate the total distance Waiswa will sail: 30 km + 20 km = 50 km. Step 4: Calculate the cost of the extra fuel needed: 50 km * UGX 1100/km = UGX 55,000.
